Important thing for writers, fanfic and in general:
STOP USING GOOGLE DOCS FOR WRITING
I’ve recently come across a tiktok that talked about how google is stealing works from their users who are using things like google docs, drive etc. and using those stolen works for their own gain in production companies without so much as a dime towards the original creators (which lets be honest, sounds like something google would do.). The tiktok also talked about how everyone who has talked about this has been silence when speaking out about this, and low and behold, I went back to find the tiktok and it was gone.
Google is stealing from its users.
This is majorly impactful to anyone who writes their creative works in google owned sites like docs. Not only would you have your works stolen from you, you would also be conned out of everything you could’ve earned from your pieces with nothing that could be done about it.
Writers everywhere are getting fucked over by major companies and producers. so please if you care about what your working on move your works to safe place away from google. Flashdrives or even files in your computers. put everything you have somewhere safe and scrub your google docs until nothing is left.
And now too with studio executives saying they will starve out the writers on strike until they lose everything and come back to them for a terrible deals with less payout, companies are doing literally anything in their power to absolutely destroy us and take what we have with without leaving us anything.
So move your shit somewhere safe, and please for the love of humanity support the writers on strike. Stop letting those higher up continuously fuck everyone over.
